Privacy
What you write on write.pt stays on your device. There is no account, no server receiving your texts, and no ads.
What happens to your text
- Documents, settings, goals and the per-day word log are stored in this browser’s local storage (localStorage). They are not sent anywhere.
- The review (repeats, long sentences, European Portuguese rules) runs in your browser. It uses no AI and no outside service.
- 3D ambiences, sounds and fonts come from the site itself: no third-party requests while you write.
- If you clear your browser data, your texts disappear. Export now and then (Export → Backup) and keep the file wherever you like.
Browser spell-check
The red spelling underline comes from your browser, not from write.pt. Some browsers have an “enhanced spell check” option that sends text to their servers; that is your setting, and you can switch it off in the browser or here under Ambience → Browser spell-check.
Visit measurement
To learn which pages are useful, the site may use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, but only after you accept the notice shown on your first visit. Before that the page makes no third-party request. What you write is never sent, nor is its length, and writing triggers no measurement events.
Hosting
The site is served from European servers behind Cloudflare, which like any network service sees the IP address and the requested page in order to deliver the site. There is no user database.
